Nancy Haga

Co-Director

Nancy Haga, Co-Director, purchased her first flute in 2010 from legendary flutemaker Guillermo Martinez at a fine arts show in Park City, Utah. She was bitten by the bug and went the following month to the Zion Flute Festival. The rest is history!

Within two years, along with Brent Haines, they founded the Solstice Flute School and Festival based in Park City, Utah. She served as the school's Founder and Director for 10 years until she retired in 2023.

Retirement didn't last long as playing and teaching the Native flute is Nancy's passion and purpose. In addition to creating the new H&H Flute Adventures with Brent Haines, Nancy teaches Native flute at Utah Tech University in St. George, Utah. She has numerous private students in both Boise, Idaho and St. George, where she splits her time.

Professionally, Nancy holds degrees in education from both Kansas University and the University of Virginia, where she received a Master's degree in teaching the deaf and hearing impaired. In addition to teaching deaf children for 15 years, she served as an education specialist for the states of Tennessee and Utah. Her love of teaching and working with Native kids has taken her to teaching and testing on Indian reservations throughout the West.

It is with warmth and love that Nancy welcomes you into our Flute Adventures family!
